Launches its First European Cultural Exchange Tour
In their first international tour, the acclaimed Tema Choir USA inspired audiences in England and France from June 4 to June 16. Their tour took them to several congregations in both countries, as well as the embassy in Paris and the Ghana High Commissioners Office in England. Their tour came to an exciting finale in a concert performance at the Westminster Methodist Church Central Hall, during the fellowship service.

The Ghana Embassy in Paris was delighted to welcome Mr. Ebenezer A. Allotey, internationally acclaimed musician, conductor, educator, and Founder/Artistic Director of the Tema Youth Choir, along with members of the Tema Choir USA, during their visit to France for the Africa Sings Paris Experience.
Firstly, as part of the programme, the choir delivered a captivating performance on Saturday, 6 June 2026, at Église Saint-Adrien in Courbevoie. The event brought together choral groups from the Ghanaian Methodist and Presbyterian communities in Paris, as well as a choir from Togo, in a celebration of faith, fellowship, and African musical heritage. Their inspiring performances highlighted the richness of African choral traditions and fostered a spirit of unity among participants and audiences alike.
Thereafter, as part of their visit, the choir paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Mavis Ama Frimpong at the Chancery in Paris on Monday, 8 June 2026. During the visit, the choir treated Embassy staff to a beautiful rendition of inspirational songs, creating a joyful and uplifting atmosphere.
In welcoming the group, Her Excellency shared personal reflections on her Christian upbringing and her connections to the Methodist, Presbyterian, and Pentecostal traditions in Ghana. The interaction was marked by warmth, faith, and a shared appreciation of the role of music in bringing people together across cultures.
Her Excellency commended the choir for their dedication to promoting Ghanaian musical heritage and expressed her appreciation for their contribution to cultural exchange through music. The Embassy was honoured to host the group and extends its best wishes for their continued success as they inspire audiences around the world through their talent, faith, and commitment to excellence.
